Just finished watching the 2009 Teen Choice Awards tonight (Studio 23). And I can't help feeling quite old seeing the young celebs now. They were like so.... YOUNG! Before, it used to be Justin Timberlake, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Britney Spears and the likes, who dominates the award show. But now, it's mostly the Disney guys --Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Selena Gomez... And these KIDS are like what? 14-19 years old?! OMG! I miss na tuloy those times na sina Josh Hartnett at Shane West pa ang nominees for best actor. Haha! It felt like ages ago...

Actually, I like Miley Cyrus' performance in this show. Seems to me like she's really the next Lindsay Lohan or Hilary Duff. I'm so loving her performance. It was mature enough. I thought it's going to be another Hanna Montana-ish or even a slutty performance (that's by the time she was almost 'pole dancing'). But it's not. I was amaze that she was able to carry on like that. However, I just read that there was a controversy about that particular performance. Some critics found it 'overtly sexual'. I have to disagree though. Although it was almost like pole dancing, let's just say: 'she still had class'? and its not 'stripper kind of pole dancing' anyway. It was like she just used the pole for balance. Sya nga pala... where are those two anyway (Hil and Lindsay)? Those two used to rule Disney... 2001-2004? (That's before the High School Musical guys).

Another thing, I can't help but notice how ragged-looking Robert Pattinson is... and how his right hand was on Megan Fox's waist when they were climbing up the stairs to receive their awards... Are they even that close? Hahaha! ☺

The show also has a segment called "Dare the Jonas Brothers" and I'm sorry, but I found it a bit lame. I mean, they selected a dare to do but they didn't actually do it. I think Nick Jonas was the only one who really performed his dare -and the dare was even lamer: Hug as many fans as you can. The hell... that's easy! Joe Jonas' dare was to cut his hair, but I don't think he really had it cut by Mike Tyson. And then Kevin Jonas was supposed to get a tattoo, but he got like a henna... I mean, whoever in the production staff chose those dare, seriously, why choose them when they won't or can't actually do them. I think the first dare was better... dare the Jonas brothers to wear grass skirts and do the hawaiian dance. That would have been interesting, and I think the guys can definitely do that! ☺

Anyway, enough about the guys. There are other more important matters at hand. Hahaha! And what's more important than the Jonas Brothers? Well... Britney Spears? Miss Britney received the Ultimate Choice Award which was presented by Miley Cyrus. I have to give credit to Britney for doning a very tasteful dress. At least she was really trying to make a comeback and make up for those mishaps that she had over the past couple of years. and I think that her comeback was a success, because for the first time ever, I actually liked two of her songs ('Circus' and 'Womanizer').

What else? Vanessa Hudgens was alo there with Zac Efron, of course. Then the whole cast of Twilight was there to promote 'New Moon' (which would be shown in theaters this November). Taylor Lautner and the girl who played Alice even won an award. And then Black Eyed Peas performed. Some of the familiar faces I saw were: Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Alexis Bledel, Cameron Diaz, Wolverine, Emily Osment, Ellen Degeneres... too bad Demi Lovato wasn't there. They say she couldn't make it because she's on tour.

Moving on, today was also the premier of Shining Inheritance on TV. It's a Korean drama and I was able to watch the first and the last episode. And judging from what I saw and from what I read, it's actually a good drama. The actors were all good -especially the mean stepmother. She was so convincing! Also, the lead actress is actually cute. Sometimes, she reminds me of Lee Yeon Hee (one of my favorite actresses) and the lead actor was cute enough. It was the first time I saw him. I don't know their names yet. I would look for it tomorrow. The other actor, who, of course, plays a part in the love triangle, I saw him before. If I'm not mistaken, he was part of the cast of Jumong (one of my favorite dramas). If possible, I will try and watch the second episode tomorrow. But seeing that I have lots of work to be done tomorrow, it's really not a good idea. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Night! ~

ELFPhilippines Gathering

Attended the ELFPhilippines Gathering today at McDonald's-Araneta (near Gateway). I was with PatM and her sister, Pia. The gathering was scheduled at 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. PatM and I arrived there at 10:30 AM and Pia followed around 12 noon. Natatawa nga kami ni Pat kasi, we feel like ajumma's na talaga. Parang they were all students pa. Most of them i believe are still in High School. Haay... ang tanda ko na! Anyway, it was a fun gathering. It was nice to see Super Junior fans all in the same room and it was nice to see the faces behind those names sa forum. and you wouldn't believe the screams of those kids! (haha, kids talaga ang tawag...)

Here are just random pix i took at the event...

Nicholas Teo

I'm currently into this guy. hehe. i think he's going to be my 'hottie of the week.' Since watching the taiwanese drama 'Smiling Pasta' last Sunday, i've been listening to its soundtrack and i've been repeating his songs over and over and over again. I mean, if i'm not listening to my compiled dance tracks, this guy's voice is what you'll hear on my media player. i'm falling more and more in love with his voice. haha. i'm so loving 'Tears from Polaris' and 'Finally Smiled/Just Smile'

Here's the MV for 'Tears from Polaris'

love this pix of him with Cindy Wang. Don't they look good together?

SNSD - Gee (teaser MV)

SNSD's official teaser MV for their new single 'Gee' has been released today. As previously mentioned, the girls started off as manequins inside a store. They say that the whole concept of the vid is 'Awakening.' That's why I'm really looking forward to the release of the official MV for this single. It's part of my 'give the girls a second chance' promise. Hope that this year, i'll be able to appreciate them more. And I 'sincerely' wish them a good year too.

2008 Coolcat 'It' List

Around this time of the year, most magazines publishes their yearly 'it' list or people who made a big impact or created headlines during the past year. For example, Time magazine has their 'Person of the Year' issue. And other magazines, mostly teen magazines and entertainment magazines, have their Top 50 or Top 100 People of the past year. Usually included in these list are celebrities, musicians, newcomers, athletes, or just your most popular (select category) whatever.

So, taking inspiration from that, I came up with my very own list of people who made my 2008. These are people who, for me, made quite a 'stir' during the past year.

DBSK

For kpop lovers such as myself, I think the return of the 'Gods' in the kpop music scene after almost two years of absence is the 'highlight' of 2008. DBSK released their fourth album last October and their comeback was the much awaited one in all of the comebacks that took place in the korean music scene last year. Wala na ngang pumansin kay Rain. Hehe. Their album 'Mirotic' has already broken sales record. And they have already won several music awards na. There even was an issue regarding the lyrics of the song which made them change 'under my skin' to 'under my sky' which i think is rather lame since i don't think this was the issue to begin with.

Super Junior

Super Junior is a 13-member boy band in Korea. A little 'too big' for a boy band, right? Anyway, although they didn't have that many activities last 2008, except for sub-unit activities, they made my 'it' list because they are the reason why i'm loving korean music now. I only found out about them last February and became a fan only last July. Siguro, if I didn't saw them, I wouldn't be this addicted to korean music. Haha. So they sort of became the bridge between me and kpop.

Wonder Girls

I think Wonder Girls is the most popular girl group in Korea now. They were even tagged as 'Korea's National Little Sisters.' I think 2008 was their year. With hit songs such as 'So Hot' and 'Nobody' both released last year, I think they already made a 'huge' mark on the kpop scene. It would be a challenge for the other girl groups in Korea to surpass their popularity. Even my siblings who doesn't understand Korean loves their 'Nobody' song and they were even dancing to it.

Big Bang

Big Bang has the most hit songs last year. I think they have the most number one songs in every countdown in Korea. Their song 'Haru Haru' was so popular last year, and they had song after song making it on the number one spot, with the last being 'Sunset Glow'. I even thought they'll win the MVP award this year. Too bad they were a little 'overshadowed' by DBSK's comeback.

SHINee

Hands down! SHINee for me is the best newcomer of 2008. There was this idol group boom in the korean music scene last year with several idol groups debuting every now and then. Among those newcomers, i think SHINee is the most popular and most successful. Their debut song "noona nomu yeppeo" or "Nuna, you're so pretty" was a big hit and they were indeed loved by the noona's (korean term for sister) and even the ajumma's.

Lee Hyori

Hyori also made her comeback in 2008. After two years, she finally released another album entitled 'It's Hyorish.' Her first single from that album 'U-Go-Girl' was such a hit that even other stars imitates her dance. Her comeback and her solo concert had both been succesful. It's just too bad she wasn't able to attend the year-end music festivals because she was confined to a hospital because of fatigue.

Rain

Another korean artist who made his comeback in the korean music scene, Rain, also released a new album this year. And i even anticipated his new music video with Ha Jiwon. And then his song 'Bad Boy' was good too. But i wasn't that impressed. I guess I was expecting a bit more from him considering he's a 'World Star.' Anyway, I think he deserves to be on the list because he made several hollywood movies this year and tried his best to penetrate the hollywood scene or the american market. Goodluck to him and the other korean artists (se7en & BoA) who plans to make it big on the american music scene too.

We Got Married couples

I love this show. I started watching it last June and I immediately got hooked the moment i started watching the first episode. I love all the couples because each of them were different. And the couple themes are really amusing and unique. My favorite couples are the Ant and Witch couple (Crown J & Seo Inyoung), Anbi couple (Andy of Shinhwa & Solbi) & the lettuce couple (HwangBo & HyunJoong of SS501). I really find these couples entertaining and funny. The AlShin couple is so sweet and so romantic. They look good together.

Leona Lewis

I love her 'Bleeding Love' song and the music video for that song is also one of my favorites. The song became such a huge hit in 2008 that it made her the breakthrough artist of 2008. I was even amazed to find out that Jesse McCartney has co-written the song. Still loving that 'keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love...' lyrics.

David Cook

OMG! I was addicted to his voice for the most part of 2008. It's the first time that a 'rocker' won the American Idol contest. others only came close (Bo Vice lost to Carrie Underwood on Season 4 and Chris Daughtry didn't even make it to the final round). I actually thought that he wouldn't win and that David Archuleta, the much favored one, would win the competition instead. So i was a bit surprised that America decided to route for him. His version of Mariah Carey's 'Always Be My Baby' was also a huge hit. I love how he managed to arrange that song to make it his. I never imagined that a guy can sing a Mariah song, David Cook proved me wrong.

American Idol 7 contestants

So far, I think this season is my second favorite American Idol Season! This seasons' contestants were really talented and each of them has their own style. My favorite contestants were Michael Johns, Carly Smithson, Brooke White, Chickezie, David Cook and Ramiele Malubay. That's almost half of the contestants! I also think this season is also one of the most watched as everyone was really anticipating what each performer would bring for each week. And that everyone was having a hard time deciding who deserves to win the competition.

Rihanna

I think Rihanna really made it big this year. She was my favorite artist of 2008. I love how she has her own style and that you would easily recognize that it's definitely Rihanna when you hear her song. Anyway, I also love how she isn't afraid to experiment with different looks. I mean, sometimes, she's the only one who can pull-off a certain look which i refer to as the 'Rihanna look.' Her hook-up with Chris Brown is an added bonus for a fan like me!

Charice Pempengco

This girl also made it big last 2008. After her appearance on 'Star King,' she went on to perform on the Oprah winfrey show, the ellen degeneres show, and she even performed on some major artists concerts that it made me proud to be a Pinoy. Imagine seeing one of your kababayan being interviewed by Oprah and having a duet with Celine Dion, I'm sure you'll also feel proud.

Robert Pattinson

Now we go to the Twilight craze. I've seen this guy even before he played Edward Cullen on the movie 'Twilight.' He was Cedric Diggory on the movie 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' He wasn't noticeable back then as the main focus was on Daniel Radcliffe, but who wouldn't recognize his face now? I really think he fits the role. He kinda looks the part even in real life. A bit creepy, don't you think?

Heath Ledger

After watching the movie 'The Dark Knight,' I finally understand why his death was such a loss to the Hollywood movie industry. He was amazing in it! His potrayal as Joker, the batman's nemesis, was soooo good that it actually gives me the creeps. It was flawless. I really couldn't find anything negative to say about him as an actor. Too bad his life was cut short. At least, he left a legacy! I don't think there would be another actor who would come close to his almost perfect potrayal of Joker.

Robi Domingo

Who wouldn't like this guy? He looks good, has a pleasant attitude, and he's smart. This guy should really be everyone's role model. I don't think there's even a slightest bit of evil in him. hehe. too perfect diba? it kinda makes you wonder if he's really that good. Pero, i never doubted him. Even from the beginning, i knew that he's genuinely nice. If everyone would only look up to him, lots of parents would be proud.

Gossip Girl Cast

I love Gossip Girl. I think they're the new version of Beverly Hills 90210. I love the storyline and how it depicts teens of the upper class and today's generation. Another thing that i love about them are the clothes they wear. Makes me envy them really. I love their looks, especially Blair's. Pero clarify lang ha, i like her style not her attitude.

Amazing Race Asia 3 contestants

I never missed an episode of this show. This season was tagged to be 'The toughest race ever' and i do agree about that. Some tasks were really complicated and would definitely push the contestant's strength and their patience to the next level. Teamwork was also tested in most parts. Although they didn't visit other countries outside Asia as much as they did on Season 2 and that the level of competition is not as high as compared to Season 2 were almost everyone's a candidate to win the race, all in all the season has been good.

Chen Qiao En & Ethan Ruan

Their drama 'Fated to Love You' received the highest rating in all of Taiwan last 2008. The drama was so successful that it presented a whole new challenge for other dramas to surpass the show's rating. Ethan Ruan & Chen Qiao En became even more popular because of that show.

Michael Phelps

I'm sure this guy must have been a shark or some other creature from the sea during his past life. After bagging all of the gold medals for the swimming event during the 2008 Beijing Olympics last August, who wouldn't recognize this guy? He conquered it! I think it was one of the biggest wins in the olympics. It was indeed a sweep!

US President Barack Obama

Alas, Time magazine's person of the year, US President Barack Obama. Mr. Obama has inspired us in more ways than one. His dream coming true translates to hope for everyone. That all it would take for our dreams to come true is for us to believe in ourselves. I love hearing this man speak because there's just something about him that inspires you, moves you and touches you. The way he speaks about hope for everyone would really make you believe in it. And there are few people who has that ability to inspire people and i give credit to Mr. Obama for being one of those few.

2009 New Year's Resolution

A new year. A new beginning.

For this year, i came up with the following new year's resolution which i should really try to accomplish. Some of the items on this list have been my new year's resolution since i started making one last 2006. hehe. That's why i really have to get something done so I could take them off this list before the list gets any longer.

1. Be more PUNCTUAL

This year i should strive to be in the office before 9AM; always come 15 minutes before get togethers; and to not use my sick leaves and annual leaves, unless when necessary.

This has been in my new year's resolution since 2006 and i haven't taken it off my list. Mainly because, every year i got worse when it comes to punctuality. Before i'm usually late only by 15 minutes but i noticed that in 2008 i've been late for as much as an hour. Sabi nga, pareho kami ni Janno Gibbs ng new year's resolution. Haha. Also, i noticed that i became more tamad lately. i've been really putting things off. Yung mga kaya ko namang gawin sa araw na iyon, ipinagpapaliban ko pa hanggang sa tamarin na rin akong gawin yun. And then, there's the annual leave and the sick leave. Ewan ko ba, since i started working, i haven't received a full conversion of my sick leaves. Kasi naman, August pa lang, i've used them all up including my annual leave. Hopefully, this year i'll be able to convert all my sick leaves into cash. Aba! P10,000 din yun.

2. Save moohlah!

aside from the things i have to buy, i should not spend money on things not included on my to-buy list; i should save money for my next trip to Hong Kong this coming December with Joem so that i could shop til' i drop! And, i should learn to be more thrifty.

sabi nga nila i'm TOO generous. all-out ako kung manlibre to the extent na nanlilibre ako even when there's no occasion. trip lang. Pati people that i hardly knew, nililibre ko. Eh, the way the economy is doing now, i should really learn how to spend my money wisely. Besides, I needed it when I go back to Hong Kong this December with my barkada. Also, i should learn to just buy the things i needed. Usually, i buy random stuffs just because i find it amusing, cute, pretty, etc., even though i know that they're not worth the money. So this year, I figure that I should stop being the 'impulse-buyer' otherwise, i'll go broke even before the year ends.

3. Renew my faith

attend mass and other holy days of obligation; pray the rosary; do not forget to thank God for all his blessings; read the bible and the purpose driven life; go to confession; and be more honest

haha. that's quite a lot. to be honest, you can count on your fingers the number of times i went to church last year. sobrang bilang lang talaga. i know that's really bad, kaya lang i have this mindset kasi na 'i won't go inside the church if i feel obligated to do so' i don't want to make it seem like 'napipilitan' ako na magsimba. i believe that's worse than not going to church at all. gusto ko kapag nagsimba ako yung bukal talaga sa kalooban ko. it's not naman that i don't believe in him, it's just that i dont think that attending mass is a measure of your belief in Him. I know some people who goes to church everyday but keeps on committing sins naman after. There are those na active sa church pero sa bahay nila ang sama-sama ng ugali. And i know some people whose reasons behind joining the church choir or 'altar boys' is just to make pa-cute and make porma. And then there are those who attends mass but talks about altar boys naman instead of listening to the homily. Haay...

anyway, about the rosary, i haven't prayed the rosary for quite sometime now. i can't even remember the mysteries of the holy rosary. come to think of it, i did study naman at catholic schools from elementary to college, so i should know this things. also, i wanted to start reading the bible and to continue reading 'The Purpose Driven Life.' And then it's been years na rin since my last confession. i think it was back in high school pa. kaya i need to go to one this year too.

4. Live a healthy lifestyle

no more drinking alcohol; exercise regularly; sleep before 11pm, avoid staying up late (except on weekends); no more coffee after 6pm, limit coffee intake to at least one per day; take vitamins everyday; take a shower at night regularly; do nightly rituals regularly; drink tea at night; and eat more fruits.

this year is also a time for me to take care of my health. Although i'm not the type to get sick easily, i think it's better to be prepared. Besides, i really don't like doctors, nurses, and hospitals. So in order to avoid them, i must take care of myself. Anyway, last year i only drank alcohol on six occasions. This year, i plan to be 'alcohol-free'. Looks like 'iced tea' ang drama ko ngayon. Sleep before 11PM --on weekdays! It's about time i do something about my insomnia because it's also getting worse. In order to do this, i decided to not drink coffee after 6PM and drink tea at night instead. I bought a can of 'Oolong Tea' when i was in Hong Kong last December. They say it helps cure insomnia. And its really effective. My officemate gave it to me months ago and i really find myself being able to sleep early everytime i had that tea at night. Which is why i bought one for myself. And then there's my coffee addiction. Before, i normally had at least 6 cups of coffee a day. Last year when i decided to limit my coffee intake to at least two per day, i was able to cut that six into just three cups of coffee. This year, i plan to make it a 'one coffee a day keeps the nervousness away' year. So i must get myself into my own 'Rehab' again. Also looks like i won't be visiting Starbucks anytime soon.

5. Reinvent myself

wardrobe change and update at least once a month; wear accessories and shoes; be more girly; learn how to apply make-up; foot spa monthly

i think it's time i give myself a new look. from being boyish to being more of a girl. i think this one is a bit tougher because just thinking about it makes me laugh! me? wearing a skirt? wearing high-heels? being girly? haha! yeah, right... but then i think that maybe i should give it a try. my friends told me that i'm getting older so i must act my own age. Considering that i'm already turning 25 this March, i think being boyish doesn't apply to me anymore. Also, since i decided to be more girlish, i should learn how to apply make-up on my face. I don't want to look like a clown naman 'no! Kasi naman, ang alam ko lang ilagay sa mukha ko lip balm at mascara. I'm totally clueless when it comes to this things. Hmm... i must seek the help of my cousin!

6. Take up a new hobby

try out something new this year... maybe photography; also update Freedom, make art crafts more often; update blogspot; do movie and drama reviews; finish writing my stories; do the outline of my scrapbook

i really want to learn photography. my friends told me that i have nice concepts and i take nice shots. so i wanted to take it a step further and be a professional. haha. i want to learn the ins and outs of photography so that i could capture moments in an almost perfect manner and be able to preserve the memory of that moment. Kasi nga you can never turn back time. each event has its own 'feel' and sayang if you won't be able to capture it.

Another thing, i want to do movie and drama reviews too. Give an honest opinion on those korean, japanese, taiwanese, chinese dramas that i often watch. And because i'm such a movie geek, i should do reviews on all movies that i've watched too. Also planning to do reviews on Hollywood series as well. I don't watch Pinoy drama but i'll give it a try. And then about my scrapbook, it's time for me to make the layout and the outline. The scrapbook project is way overdue!

7. Learn

learn a foreign language: korean, japanese, spanish, french, or cantonese; study world history; review my accounting notes; review my other subjects; tutor my sibs; search a topic that interests me and read about it; read one book per week

i decided to learn korean and french seriously. and then squeeze in some japanese and spanish and cantonese. It's been my life's dream to be proficient in these languages so i must act on this dream now. before it's too late. And then, i wanted to be the knowledgeable Abby once again. It's time i make use of that 117 IQ and improve it. Also, i should set aside time to read those books i bought last year. They've been sitting on my desk waiting for me to open them. I haven't even began reading New Moon!

8. Travel More

go to a different place, somewhere i've never been before this year; if possible, be able to go outside of the country again

this year, i also decided to make it 'Abby's Travel Year'. In fact, i already have a line up of places i want to go to and would be going to this year. Looking at it, it seems that i'll be travelling every month. With my last trip of the year being the 'Hong Kong-Macau' trip with my barkada. This year, i'm looking forward to visiting (i) Anawangin Cove, Zambales; (ii) Tagaytay; (iii) Palawan; (iv) Batanes; (v) Bangkok, Thailand; (vi) Singapore; (viii) Cebu; and (ix) Surigao. Yipee! Can't wait for it to begin.

9. Accomplish something on my things-to-do-in-my-lifetime list

it's time to get something done from that list. i have to be able to cross something out before the list gets any longer. And before i ran out of time to do them.

10. Own a pet

i think fishes would do. I'm also considering birds or rabbits, but fishes top my lists since i'll be able to take care of not just one. I plan to buy 13 angel fishes which represents each member of Super Juniors. hehe.

11. Redecorate my room

Theme: Artsy. fashion spreads on my wall, collage of pictures, world map

I plan to redecorate my room this year. Since my parents and I switched rooms (for me & my brother to have the bigger room), I haven't been able to decorate it with the theme i want. It's been that way since 2004. I haven't been able to change the decoration because i do not have the time and the resources to do so. And it's a bit difficult to decorate the room because i share a room with my brother. He's lucky i'm not a fan of the color pink. Hopefully, we'll get our own rooms soon! Anyway, i plan to have an artsy kind of room. Instead of traditional wallpapers, i would use fashion spreads from different magazines as my wallpaper. Then i plan to have a corner for me to post pictures on the wall and a world map and map of the Philippines so that i could mark the places i've been to.

12. Smile often

no more frowning girl. remember: you're never fully-dressed without a smile. i read this in a magazine years ago and figured i should give it a try too. Sabi kasi nila, lagi na lang ako nakasimangot. That's why they think i'm snobbish, mataray, suplada, etc. Besides, smiling often makes you look a lot younger.

13. Learn my way around the kitchen

it's about time i start learning how to cook something edible. something other than noodles and canned goods. or something other than fried whatever; hopefully, learn how to bake too.

it's really embarassing but i have to admit that i don't even know how to cook rice. I don't even know how to use a rice cooker. I can only cook noodles, pancit canton, instant spaghetti, instant sotanghon, at kung anu-ano pang instant. Nakakahiya talaga. I can't even cook fish! -even when it's fried! I should be able to learn how to cook because i can't live on noodles or take-outs forever! and besides, 'the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach' pa rin. haha. Also, i'm tired of being the dishwasher at home. it's about time for me to be the chef instead. double Haha!

14. Make my business successful

do all things necessary to make 'she blings' successful; be more creative in making and selling accessories; also start selling personalized items like calendars, tumblers, shirts, etc. I guess it's time for me to make use of my business degree.

15. Fall in love = Give love a second chance

Because i'm turning 25 this March, i decided that its probably time i give myself some time to really fall in love.

16. Try out something new this 2009.

I'm thinking of playing 'Paintball'; Go-Kart Racing; Bowling; Ice-skating; Watch a movie on I-max (honestly, i haven't done this!); or eat something that i haven't eaten yet. Thinking of sushi, isaw, dinuguan, or balut. Or eating in a Japanese restaurant.

17. Be more decisive

avoid second-guessing myself; believe in myself more

Sabi nga nila, if you don't believe in yourself, no one else would belive in you too. Ewan ko ba. Last year, i really had a low self-esteem. All time low ko na yata iyon. It came to a point that i couldn't make a decision for myself. And when i make one, i constantly question myself if its really the right decision. My being a risk-taker or just being an adventurous type of person has dissolve into thin air. Parang always on the safe side ako. Before, i used to say that i'm 'yabang' kasi i know who i am and i know what i'm capable of. And the reason why i don't care about competition is that i know that i'm better than everyone else. Yun ang mindset ko. I know I'm good but I don't brag about it. I mean, I don't need to. When you know yourself, you don't need other people to tell you who you are. right? But last year, I wasn't able to feel that way. Self-pity talaga. Which is so not me! Kaya this year, I'm hoping to be the same old me again.

18. think before i speak

i noticed that i have also said some things that i shouldn't have last year. Whether its deliberate or not, i tend to say random things that have offended some people and some had cause conflicts between people. I used to be a secret keeper, but last year, i haven't kept more than three secrets that was told in confidence to me. Too much honesty. So as to avoid creating more conflicts and offending others, I vowed to think first about the implications of my actions and my words.

19. Be more optimistic

Lastly, i want to be more optimistic this year. Aside from being artistic ('ehem'), being pessimistic is another word that best describes me. I always expect the worst. Being a pessimist has its own advantage naman. Because you tend to expect the worst in everything, you are not prone to major disappointments. I learned not to expect anything in return. And since i always think of something bad happening, i also learned to always be prepared. haha. girl scout? Anyway, puro negative na lang iniisip ko, kaya naman this year try ko naman maging optimistic. To always look on the bright side of things. Para mawala narin yung mga negative vibes. hehe.

That's my new year's resolution for this year. Hopefully, i won't have to include all of this again on my 2010 new year's resolution. Hehe. I'm really determined to make everything work out for me this year. v('o')
