Movie Mania

I've always enjoyed watching movies. I've probably watched Disney movies when I was young and some locally made movies here in the Philippines. As a kid growing up in the Philippines during the 90s, especially from a middle class family, watching movies in the cinema or theater is kind of a rare treat. Usually reserved on special occasions such as Christmas or New Year. We didn't even have a betamax or a VHS player back then. So I only got to watch movies when my uncle would rent one from a video store or when it was shown on TV.

However, it was during 5th grade that I think I've become a 'movie buff'. I think it was during that time that I really started watching what I refer to back then as 'Hollywood' movies. It was in 1995 that I got to watch films such as My Girl, Three Ninjas, The Mighty Ducks, Jurassic Park, and the classic and my ultimate favorite, Home Alone. And when we finally had our own video player, I will often watch movies with my dad during the weekends. I've watched movies starring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, etc. And I've watched comedy, romance, action, mystery, and all sorts of genre. And by 2008, I've discovered and fell in love with watching Korean movies and other Asian films.

Anyway, to better remind me and to keep track of all the movies I've watched, I've decided to dedicate this page solely for that purpose. After seeing list after list of things like 'movies you have to watch before you die' or 'greatest movies of all time', I've realized that there are still quite a lot of movies that I haven't seen and haven't even heard of. And there were movies that I've already forgotten since it was so long ago since I last saw them.

So here's a list of all the movies I've ever watched. Mostly inspired by lists such as 'Empire Magazine's 500 greatest films of all time', '1001 movies you must see before you die', 'IMDB's Top 1000 movies of all time' and other lists from the likes of American Film Institute, Glamour, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Purewow, Good Housekeeping, Oprah Daily, Ranker, Rotten Tomatoes, etc.

Enjoy!
